The human body is a mesmerizing thing fulfilling dozens of duties. A very ordinary task was now researched and analyzed: the human walk, and how to modify it.The 2000x1200mm model „Seegang“ (engl. swell) deals with the aspect of equlibrium. Four acrylic glass tubes filled with blue water raise the point of leverage. Therefore the balance of motion is affected, resulting in a continuous, labored adjustment of upright walk.

As motion is an essential part of walking my aim was to transfer that quality into the model. Moving a single muscle is barely possible - just as far as swaying a single water tube without affecting the other three.
Contrast was as important as motion. All the vitality is cased in a strictly geometric framework. Limiting. Facilitating.
Achieving pure equilibrium is rare. Any little shoulder agitation shifts the weight. There is no chance to prepare for the sudden imbalance as the effect takes place decelerated. Surprise, shock and simper blend.
