Sharing a ride is becoming more popular than ever. At least two people sit next to or behind each other and share the same experience of the ride - which most of the time is rather usual and rarely memorable.
This is where shareOne jumps in. During a bike ride the passenger sits reverse at the back end of the bycicle. Both visually and tangibly a simple but novel experience is made. Also, a feeling of insecurity and oddity at first leads almost inevitably to a prodigious emotional experience.

One of the main obstacles we intended to avoid was impurity. The visual integration into the diamond steel frame both through geometry and material was developed carefully.
Barely any right angle is found in the construction of shareOne.The back wheel acts as a swivel caster and is 360° circularly rotatable.
The small additional assembly part at the seat post secures mounting to different frame sizes.
ShareOne is manufactured by using one square meter of metal sheet, 1mm strong. After getting in touch with various folding techniques with paper the form was developed using SolidWorks. The metal sheet then was laser cut, perforations indicated folding areas.
Sitting on shareOne is one of the most important requirements. Back-on-back to the driver conveys a sense of safety to the passenger. A more practical approach is guaranteed through handles on each side and a footrest.
