This project deals with the research of relationship between form, color and material. A previously chosen color was connected with two verbal associations:
mystic _ dignified
The understanding of these three parameters was then developed into a unique presence. No function was to be fulfilled, no ergonomics to be considered. Merely a direct analogy to something existent should be avoided.

The final model embraces a strong relationship to the history of purple in ancient realms and religion. Remotely it is based on a throne which represents the aspect of 'dignified'. Sublimity and steadfastness conduct to a lordly impression.
'Mystic' is reflected in the object's contour. Symmetric from afar, a closer look unveils the predominant asymmetric edge at the front. Altogether all curves were carefully developed to maintain an arcane presence and evoke emotions like dreaminess, fantasy and peculiarity.
Due to the choice of material, reflections inside the object intensify the perception of 'mystic'.
Manufacture included a considerable amount of steps. After building the 1:1 model in foam it was slip casted. To ensure a smooth surface two iterations of casting and grinding were made.
From the positive cast model then the negative synthetical form was developed. Finally epoxy casting resin was poured into the negative form so that the final positive form emerged. Lastly, it was empurpled by transparent acryl glas color.
